{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

We went to a birthday that was held at The Aquarium last Saturday and it was a lot of fun. Porter had a great time looking at all the creatures. I think his favorite part of the whole thing was the boat, though. He wouldn't leave for more than a few minutes before he had to go back and sit in the chair again.
I was incredibly fascinated with the penguins. I had no idea they would be there. If I had gone alone I'd probably still be there watching them play with a rock on the bottom of the pool.

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday. On Christmas Eve we went to a party for games, prizes and gingerbread houses. Porter won a monster truck pajama set and he ate about 90% of the frosting instead of decorating with it lol.

We started a new tradition. We drank hot cocoa while watching the Squeakquel before P went to bed. It worked like a charm. Porter was out cold for the night within 15 minutes.
On Christmas morning *I* woke P up at 5am lol. I couldn't wait anymore. I was far to excited and I couldn't get anymore tangled in the blankets from tossing if I tried. Porter said he didn't think Santa had come because he didn't hear anything :-D
When he saw his pile he was kid-happy and it was awesome! He liked everything even the clothes.

At 9am Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Annie came over to exchange presents and Grandpa made pancakes (that's a new tradition as well, but I'm not sure Grandpa knows it yet lol.) My friend Lisa and her boys came over shortly after for pancakes and gift exchanging as well. It was fantastic! I LOVE the holidays with family and friends. I cannot wait again until next year. I hope it's just as good.
