In early December 2011 I was a single mom struggling to find a good fit in college, wondering where my princess charming was and had just finished fertility treatments to become pregnant with my second child (it was unsuccessful.)
I was at a loss as to what was suppose to come next in my life. I felt I was doing what I was suppose to. I had come a long way from where I was just a year before and yet, I was feeling incredibly alone, tired and confused.
A few long short weeks later someone who I had been interested in for nearly a year started to reciprocate. We made plans to meet in my state following a business trip she had planned for Jan 2012. It was a long seven weeks. We used Skype everyday, morning and night while she was working in Manila.
Finally, Feb 15, 2012 came and we met for the first time, in person at the airport with my younger sister, Annie. We were both incredibly nervous. I know the only reason we made it through was my sister who is super nutty. Annie broke the ice with a "camel toe" story that had Lisa cracking up. Thanks Sis...;-)

For the 16 days that Lisa was here it was insane. Wonderful. Crazy. Incredible. I couldn't have asked for a better trip. My family and friends loved her. I loved her. This was my fairy tale.
Then all to soon the trip was over and we had to say our goodbyes. We had 18 days before we would be together again and this time Porter and I were flying to her, in her state.
Our trip to Lisa's state, family, friends and life was just as great. It just felt like we were all meant to be together. Like I had figured out God's next step for me and that was Lisa.
After a lot of thought, tears, worries, loving advice and prayers we decided that Porter and I would move to Lisa instead of her moving to us.
The plan was Porter to finish 1st grade here and then Lisa would fly to us on June 1st to drive Porter and I back to her state. However, the joke was on me because my entire family had made plans with Lisa to surprise me on May 31st to propose to me.<3 I of course said yes!
On June 4th at around 3am Porter, Lisa, Annie and I all packed in my little red sedan and we made the 2100 mile trip from the West to the East.
My sister left the following week and since then Porter, Lisa and I have been settling in. So far it's been a really smooth transition. We were meant to be. She was worth the wait. :)

Now we are in the process of getting Porter ready for 2nd grade. I will be starting dental assisting school August 22, we are planning on getting our marriage license on March 1st and then having our ceremony with friends and family on the 2nd. As well as trying figure out a reasonable budget and food plan. YIKES! There is so much to do, but i'm so excited, blessed, thrilled and in love with my little family.
♥ My dream came true ♥
